Privacy Policy

Disking Technologies (UK) Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through diskingtech.co.uk, why we collect it, how we look after it and the rights you have.

Who we are

The data controller is Disking Technologies (UK) Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17229804. Our registered office is Unit 10, Beaver Industrial Estate, Liphook, Hampshire, GU30 7EU, United Kingdom.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, email [DATA_PROTECTION_EMAIL] or write to us at our registered office.

What we collect

When you contact us using the form on this website we collect:

  • your name and work email address
  • your company name and phone number, if you provide them
  • your message, your rough timeframe and how you heard about us, if you provide them
  • your agreement to this policy and the date and time you sent the enquiry

To protect the form from spam and abuse we also record a one way, scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, which cannot be turned back into the original address, and your browser’s user agent string.

When you email or call us we keep the details you share so we can respond.

When you browse the site our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested and browser type) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use these logs to identify you.

Website statistics. We count page visits with our own statistics, which do not use cookies. We record the page visited, the referring website, and your device type and browser. Unique visitors are counted with a one way code made from your IP address and browser details plus a random value that changes daily; your IP address itself is never stored, and you cannot be recognised from one day to the next. Visits are not counted if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or if you reject cookies in our banner.

Google Maps. Our Contact page includes an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies. Google is responsible for that data under its own privacy policy.

We only use optional analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, if you accept them. See our Cookie Policy.

Where your enquiry is stored and who can see it

Enquiries sent through the website form are stored in a secure database on our web hosting, provided by [HOSTING_PROVIDER] ([HOSTING_LOCATION]). A copy is sent by email to our team so we can reply, using our email provider [EMAIL_PROVIDER].

Only authorised staff at Disking Technologies who need to respond to enquiries can access them, through a password protected admin area with an audit log of who did what. Where it helps to answer your enquiry, we may share it with other companies in the Disking Group. Our providers act only on our instructions and must keep your data secure.

If any of your data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for [RETENTION_PERIOD] after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep the records we need to manage our relationship and meet our legal obligations. Spam protection records are deleted automatically, usually within a few hours.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • ask us to restrict or stop using your data, or object to how we use it
  • ask for your data in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email [DATA_PROTECTION_EMAIL]. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Keeping your data secure

The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiries are stored in a password protected database, IP addresses are stored only in hashed form, and access is limited to the people who need it.
